HP High Court Clerk/Proof Reader Syllabus
Each question shall carry equal weightage of one mark. The Screening test shall be of two hours duration comprising 100 questions of 100 marks in aggregate, touching the following subjects:
PART A- Screening Test
The screening test in English Language will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) with four options for each question. The candidate must select the correct answer by marking the appropriate circle on the OMR answer sheet or following any other mode specified in the question paper/O.M.R. sheet. Each question will carry equal weightage of one mark. The Screening test will be two hours long and will include 100 questions, totaling 100 marks.
- General knowledge – 60 marks
International, National, Himachal Pradesh - Basic of Computer – 20 marks
- Reasoning – 40 marks
The questions will cover various subjects such as Geography, Culture, Sports, General Science, History, Who is Who, Tourism, Current events, Computers, Current Affairs, Indian and H.P. Judiciary, etc.
PART – B (COMPUTERS, ENGLISH AND HINDI)
Written Test shall be of total 80 marks to be completed in 2 hours consisting of the following:-
- Essay in English – 300 words 15 marks
- Essay in Hindi – 300 words 15 marks
- Translation from English to Hindi (one Paragraph containing at least ten sentences) 15 marks
- Translation from Hindi to English (one Paragraph containing at least ten sentences) 15 marks
- Computers 20 mark
Typing Test: The High Court may conduct the typing test of the candidates on the day, they appear for the main written examination or may notify some another date for the typing test.The candidates shall have to qualify, typing test at a speed of 30.
